Recommended dietary behavior and physical activity policies and practices were synthesized into broad themes using the Analysis Grid for Environments Linked to Obesity framework, and the quality of included guidelines appraised. Our search identified 38 eligible publications mostly from the US and Australia. Identified guidelines were largely consistent in their recommendation and frequently addressed the physical and sociocultural environment and were well-aligned with research evidence. Broader consideration of policy and economic environments may be needed to increase the impact of such policies and guidelines within the ECEC setting.]]> Thu 23 Mar 2023 09:58:50 AEDT ]]> Assessing the scalability of evidence-based healthy eating and physical activity interventions in early childhood education and care: A cross-sectional study of end-user perspectives https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:54298 Thu 15 Feb 2024 14:52:31 AEDT ]]> Factors associated with early childhood education and care service implementation of healthy eating and physical activity policies and practices in Australia: a cross-sectional study https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:21000 p = <0.01), indicating that for every one point increase in implementation score, ECEC services were 38% more likely to be fully implementing the policies and practices. The two NASSS subdomains of ease of the adoption decision (P<.001) and identifying work and individuals involved in implementation (P=.001) were significantly associated with high intentions to adopt digital health interventions. Conclusions: A substantial proportion of Australian childcare centers have high intentions to adopt new digital health interventions to support dietary guideline implementation. Given evidence of the effectiveness of digital health interventions, these findings suggest that such an intervention may make an important contribution to improving public health nutrition in early childhood.]]> Mon 29 Jan 2024 18:02:27 AEDT ]]> Interventions to Improve Child Physical Activity in the Early Childhood Education and Care Setting: An Umbrella Review https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:48978 Fri 21 Apr 2023 09:21:50 AEST ]]>
